ForwardLine, a leading nationwide direct lender, launched the Passion Made $10K Sweepstakes to recognize and honor all of the hard work and passion that small business owners across the U.S. pour into running their companies every day. The lucky winner is The Tutoring Club based in Cypress, CA. ForwardLine presented a check for $10,000 to the owner, Madelynn Gufarotti.
Ms.Gufarotti started the Tutoring Club in Cypress over thirteen years ago. She left Corporate America to pursue her passion for educating students and helping families. Gufarotti and her team are champions for students, committed to helping make school a positive experience and increasing the students’ self-confidence. Gufarotti commented, “My goal is to work with families to make learning more fun and rewarding experience. There is nothing better than learning that we have helped kids improve their grades and grow in self-confidence. I know we are making a real difference reducing the stress of high school, helping younger kids who are behind in reading or struggling with math discover a love for learning and get their studies back on track.”
Gufarotti has been a ForwardLine customer since 2015. She commented, “ForwardLine has helped me expand my business. We have eight employees now and an assistant. Three or four years ago, we probably had three tutors. My business has grown by over twenty percent since that point. ForwardLine has been great! I would recommend them to any small business.” Gufarotti has used funding from ForwardLine to order more books for students, do more marketing, remodel the store and customize the Tutoring Club’s programs for each student.
“We are thrilled to have been able to help Madelynn grow the Tutoring Club over the last few years,” said Larry Gomperts, Chief Marketing Officer at ForwardLine. “The work that she and her team does is powerful; every day they are transforming the lives of students by making learning fun. We are proud to serve small businesses like Madelynn’s. Small businesses are truly the backbone of our economy.”
“Congratulations to Madelynn for winning the Passion Made $10K Sweepstakes,” said Steve Carlson, Chief Executive Officer of ForwardLine. “Our mission is to support the financial health of America’s small businesses. It is truly an honor to be able to support the Tutoring Club and other small businesses just like it.”
After learning that she won the sweepstakes, Gufarotti remarked, “I’m thrilled to be ForwardLine’s Passion Made $10K Sweepstakes winner. It’s the first contest that I have ever won in my life. It’s the perfect title because I am so passionate about my business.”
